Overview
HPE StoreEver MSL entry-level tape automation meets the demanding storage requirements of organisations that need unattended backup, disaster recovery or archiving capabilities. MSL 1/8 Autoloaders and MSL2024 Tape Libraries offer a wide range of storage capacity and technology choices, including LTO-9, LTO-8, LTO-7 or LTO-6 Ultrium tape drives. HPE’s web-based remote management solution, Command View for Tape Libraries (CVTL), makes MSL 1/8 autoloaders and MSL2024 tape libraries easy to manage from any remote location, eliminating the need for remote office IT staff. Manage tape media inside and outside the library quickly and easily using standard barcode readers, configurable mail slots, and removable cartridges. If tapes are lost or stolen, data encryption options are available to protect critical business data from unauthorised access. MSL investment protection and uncertain data growth can be easily managed within the MSL library portfolio. Quickly add capacity and/or performance with MSL 1/8 tape autoloaders or tool-less drive upgrades in MSL2024 tape libraries, or move tape drive suites to the MSL3040 or MSL6480 for library scalability and additional enterprise-class features. Use HPE StoreEver TapeAssure Advanced (a licensed feature of CVTL) to proactively receive detailed information about MSL tape automation. Information about libraries, drives, and media is monitored for utilisation, operational performance, and life and health information. Proactively receive notifications to prevent problems if any library, drive, or tape media parameters fall below Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommended standards.
