The Juniper SRX4100 is a 1U fixed-configuration, high-performance next-generation firewall (NGFW) delivering 40 Gbps firewall throughput and up to 17.5 Gbps IPsec VPN performance. Purpose-built for enterprise campus, small data center, and regional hub deployments, it features 8x 10GE SFP+ ports, chassis clustering support via 2x SFP+ ports, and advanced security services including advanced threat protection at 3.5 Gbps.

Architecture & Performance

Powered by 64 GB DRAM and 480 GB SSD storage (240+240 GB), the SRX4100 supports massive scale: 1200K IPv4 FIB routes, 2000K IPv6 RIB routes, 5000K concurrent sessions, 6000 SSL CPS, and 4075 IPsec VPN tunnels. Security performance includes NGFW at 8 Gbps (CPS)/30 Gbps (TPS), Application Security at 16 Gbps (CPS)/35 Gbps (TPS), and Secure Web Gateway at 7 Gbps.

Front-to-back airflow (AFO) with redundant 3+1 hot-swap fans and 1+1 hot-swap PSUs (AC/DC options). Operating temperature 0° to 40° C, up to 70 dB acoustic noise.

High Availability & Management

Supports chassis clustering with 2x SFP+ dedicated ports. Management via 1x RJ-45 out-of-band port, console RJ-45, and 2x USB ports. Junos OS provides unified routing, switching, and security.
