Product Overview

The Juniper MX960BASE-AC is the base AC-powered configuration of the MX960 Universal Routing Platform, a high-performance, modular 16 RU router designed for service provider, cloud, and enterprise networks. It supports up to 12 line cards with a total routing capacity of 10.56 Tbps and switch fabric capacity of 480 Gbps per slot. Powered by Junos OS, it delivers carrier-class reliability with side-to-side airflow and hot-pluggable components.

16 U form factor with dimensions 17.37 in (H) x 27.75 in (W) x 23 in (D). Spare chassis weight: 150 lb / 68.03 kg. Fully loaded: 395 lb / 179.17 kg. Side-to-side airflow with 2 hot-removable FFANTRAY-MX960 fan trays.

Architecture & Performance

Features 1x SCB (SCBE2-MX or SCBE3-MX) and 1x RE (RE-S-1800, RE-S-X6-64G, or RE-S-X6-128G, hot-pluggable). Forwarding ASICs throughput: 10 Gbps. Operating temperature: 32° to 104° F (0° to 40° C). Seismic tolerance: Zone 4.
