This Flexible Consumption Model LC delivers industry-leading density with twenty-four 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports, eliminating bandwidth bottlenecks caused by surging video-on-demand (VoD), IPTV, point-to-point video, Internet video, and cloud services traffic. Designed for economical, scalable, highly available line-rate Ethernet and IP/Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) edge services, it forms the foundation for Carrier Ethernet and IP/MPLS networks supporting business, residential, and mobile services.

Key Features and Benefits

These line cards are fully compatible with all Cisco ASR 9000 Series chassis (22-slot, 10-slot, 6-slot), route switch processors (RSPs), and line cards without requiring hardware upgrades to chassis or cooling. Total bandwidth depends on RSPs installed. Also compatible with 22-slot Cisco ASR 9922 chassis. Each provides simultaneous Layer 2 and Layer 3 support, reducing inventory needs and deployment time. Synchronization circuitry and backplane timing traces access RSP’s Stratum-3 subsystem for transport-class timing, supporting mobile backhaul and TDM migration. With proper RSP, supports IEEE 1588v2. Integrated media-monitoring for real-time video/voice flows enables proactive maintenance.
