The Cisco FLSASR900-1OC3 is the ASR 900 1 Port OC3/STM-1 License designed specifically for Cisco ASR 920 Series Aggregation Services Routers. This port license enables service providers to activate individual OC3 ports on the router, supporting high-performance SONET/SDH connectivity in metro access and aggregation environments. One license is required for each OC3 port, with the A900-IMA4OS Interface Module accommodating up to four OC3 ports.
Flexible Software Activation and Pay-As-You-Grow Model
Cisco IOS XE Software for ASR 920 routers features modular packaging, allowing activation of specific capabilities through software licenses. The FLSASR900-1OC3 license integrates seamlessly with this model, enabling customers to invest in port resources only as business needs expand. All licenses, including this port license, operate on a per-chassis basis for feature sets, but port activation is per-port. Cisco IOS XE provides separation of data and control planes for enhanced system performance and resiliency. ASR 920 routers are supported starting from Cisco IOS XE Software Release 3.13.0S.
Consolidated software packages include a superset of features, activated via the appropriate licenses. Flexible software activation supports right-to-use (RTU) licensing with product activation keys (PAKs), available in paper or E-Delivery formats.

Cisco IOS XE follows time-based releases every four months, with Standard (1-year, 2 rebuilds) or Extended (2-year, 4 rebuilds) support. Rebuilds address bugs only, with critical fixes as needed.
