The Juniper QFX10008 is a high-performance, 13 RU modular Ethernet switch from the QFX Series, designed for data center spine-and-leaf deployments. It features 8 line card slots supporting up to 48 Tbps system throughput and 16 Bpps forwarding capacity. Powered by Junos OS, it delivers carrier-grade reliability with support for EVPN-VXLAN (up to 1000 tunnels), MPLS (4096 IPv4 L3 VPNs), and advanced Layer 2/3 features.

Architecture & Performance

The QFX10008 uses 5 Switch Fabric Boards (SFBs) in base configuration (6 in redundant), with QFX10000-RE Routing Engines. Key scales include 2000k IPv4/IPv6 FIB, 1000k MAC addresses, 4093 VLANs, 1000 LAGs, 9216-byte jumbo frames, and 8 output queues per port. Redundant configurations offer dual REs and 6 PSUs for high availability.
