The Juniper QFX5130-32CD-AFI is a high-density 400GbE data center top-of-rack (ToR) switch from the QFX5130 line, designed for AI/ML fabrics, IP fabrics, and spine-and-leaf deployments. It features 32 fixed QSFP-DD ports supporting 400GbE, with breakout to 4x100GbE, 2x200GbE, or 4×100/50/25/10GbE. This SKU specifies Port-to-FRU airflow with AC power supplies optimized for specific regions (India/Japan cords).

Architecture & Performance

Powered by Broadcom Jericho3-AI silicon, the QFX5130-32CD-AFI delivers 12.8 Tbps system throughput and 4 Bpps forwarding rate with ultra-low latency (<400 ns). It includes 32 GB shared packet buffer for handling microbursts in demanding AI workloads. Scales to 1M IPv4/IPv6 FIB routes, 288K MAC addresses, and supports EVPN-VXLAN for virtualized overlays.

Software Features

Running Junos OS, it supports advanced L2/L3 features including EVPN-VXLAN, MC-LAG, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, multicast, QoS, and security (MACsec on select models). Programmable via Junos EVPN, gNMI, and telemetry.
