The Juniper QFX5230-64CD-AFI is a high-performance 2U fixed-configuration switch designed for high-speed, high-density spine-and-leaf IP fabrics in AI/ML data center networks. It delivers up to 51.2 Tbps bidirectional throughput with 64 QSFP56-DD ports supporting 400GbE interfaces and 2 SFP+ ports. Ideal for workloads requiring scalability, low latency, and massive bandwidth, it runs Junos OS Evolved for advanced automation and programmability.

Architecture & Performance

Powered by a high-performance ASIC architecture, the QFX5230-64CD-AFI offers 51.2 Tbps bidirectional (25.6 Tbps unidirectional) switching capacity and 10.53 Bpps forwarding rate. It supports 112 MB shared packet buffer, 9216-byte jumbo frames, and granular QoS with 8 unicast and 2 multicast queues per port. Scale includes 128K MAC addresses, 4K VLANs, 32K ARP entries, 128 LAGs (up to 64 ports per LAG), and extensive IPv4/IPv6 routing tables (up to 2M RIB prefixes, 720K IPv4 FIB). ACL scales up to 3K ingress port/routed and 768 ingress VLAN. Processor: 6-core Intel Hewitt Lake D-1637 with 32 GB DRAM and 200 GB SSD storage.

64x QSFP56-DD ports (channelization supported for 2x200G, 4x100G, 2x100G+2x50G, etc.) and 2x SFP+ ports. Management: 1x RJ-45 console, 1x RJ-45 OOB management, 1x USB Type A. Timing: 10 MHz and PPS ports for synchronization.
