It is based on the Cisco IOS XR software image used across the ASR 9000 Series, enabling standardization on a single operating system while supporting multiple port rates including 100/40 Gigabit Ethernet, 25 Gigabit Ethernet, and 10 Gigabit Ethernet. This flexibility allows mixing and matching interface types on the same chassis, preparing operators for mass-scale networking.
