Overview
The HPE Storage Fibre Channel Switch C-Series SN6730C (MDS 9396V) is a next-generation 96-port, 64Gbps Fibre Channel switch that provides high-speed Fibre Channel connectivity between servers and storage. It supports small, medium and large enterprises that are rapidly deploying cloud-class applications, offering the benefits of greater bandwidth, scale and consolidation. The switch allows for a seamless transition to Fibre Channel Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe/FC) workloads.
The HPE Storage Fibre Channel Switch C-Series SN6730C can be configured, managed, monitored, and troubleshooted using the Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC), formerly known as Data Centre Network Manager (DCNM), which now manages the entire Cisco Data Centre product suite. It is powered by the C-Series MDS 9000 NX-OS software, which includes storage networking features and functionality, and works in conjunction with the C-Series SN8700C (MDS 9700) family of multilayer guides, the C-Series SN6010C (MDS 9148S) multilayer fibre optic switch, the C-Series SN6610C (MDS 9132T), the C-Series SN6620C (MDS 9148T) Multilayer Fibre Switch, Series C SN6630C (MDS 9396T) Multilayer Fibre Switch, Series C SN6710C (MDS 9124V) Multilayer Fibre Switch, Series C SN6720C (MDS 9148V), and Series C SN6640C (MDS 9220i) Multiservice Fibre Switches are compatible to offer at the core edge transparent end-to-end service delivery deployment at the core edge.
